The debate rages on regarding which is the best platform for gaming. I am going to be true to roots and pitch my vote into the ring for console gaming. Why, you ask? Well, to put it right out there, I haven’t had any experience with PC based games since the early 90′s and so I really have no clue…I’ll leave the really technical reasons to the experts that spend thousands of hours playing these games on both PC and console. So, from a survey conducted between an evenly split group of PC and console gamers, this is what I gathered. Who is right? I’ll leave that up to your interpretation.

PC Gamers:

The PC crowd holds to the up-gradable nature and supreme graphics of the PC, the ability to save your progress, work with simple controls using mouse and keyboard, free mods and upgrades, up-gradable hardware, cheap games, not being tied down to one service for online services, unlimited storage space, ability to mod games if you wish, support for older games no longer sold, you can download legal older games for free, and lack of the death ring or console ending crash associated with consoles.

Console Gamers:

Console experts found the consoles to be best suited for gaming because that’s what they were made for, they are specialized devices, they are easy to use, don’t have to install or upgrade drivers, many more games that will never be available to PC’s, rentals are available, less expensive console than buying a high performance PC, a dedicated one place for all games online experience, and are more portable allowing multiple links and gaming without an expensive internet connection.
